In 2014, the eclectic Italian entrepreneur Bianca Imbembo founded Kilesa with the intention of talking to other women through her creations and to create a project in which her passion for fashion, her Neapolitan roots and her creative and volcanic personality come together. Every woman carries her own world with her in the bag she wears and it is on this awareness that Bianca has built the Kilesa universe.
A universe made up of elegance, femininity and courage; a work driven by passion, the desire for innovation and continuous research.
The meaning.
The brand’s name is inspired by oriental philosophy, in which the “Kilesa” are the mental obstacles that human beings encounter when trying to achieve a set goal. Only courage, the desire for freedom and a strong, resilient spirit can overcome these obstacles, and these are the characteristics of the soul that constantly guide the work of this universe.
The representative symbol is the lotus flower, an expression of strong spirituality due to its peculiarity of sinking its roots into the mud and lying on the surface of stagnant waters, emerging from them immaculate and beautiful.
The lotus flower may appear fragile but it's resistant, just like the women to whom Kilesa addresses and whom she has chosen to represent.
